FLC Sunday Forum – LSS Bethany Crisis Shelter in Duluth: a vision for holistic care of children, youth, and families in the Northland

The Bethany Crisis Shelter is short term emergency residential housing for children 0-17. Kathryn Tiede and Christine Empanger from Lutheran Social Service in Minnesota will give us an update on the work of the Crisis Shelter in Duluth, and inform us about a major rebuilding and expansion project happening there. FLC has been a longtime partner in ministry with LSS, working to support the children and youth served through Bethany, street outreach, the crisis nursery, and the many services offered for youth at the Center for Changing Lives. Come and learn about this newest initiative, and ways in which this congregation can continue to partner with LSS in this life-changing work.
